Rant of the week; Mizon Original Skin Energy Placenta 45 Ampoule🐑

This rant is in no shape or form sponsored. These are my words and honest opinions.

45% of what the fuck, yuckness.
keep in mind darlings, that this is my personal opinion, and it didn’t work for me, but if it works for you, yay!

So where do I start? Vicky gave me this to try after she didn’t find it very helpful, so me being the freebie loving lady I am, I tried it out, and my-god, this is one baaaaaahd product for my skin, but keep in mind, “ymmv”

Name: Mizon Original Skin Energy Placenta 45 Ampoule
Product: Ampoule
Good For: “The ampoule, highly enriched with placenta, revitalizes and regenerates deep in your skin. The light texture quickly and effectively permeates the skin with no sticky reside or interruption for following skin care. Mizon Placenta 45 Ampoule is a miracle worker that gives you bright, elastic, and lively skin.”
Price: 12-15$ (Amazon, E-bay)

I just wanna put it out there that this product contains placenta, as the name would imply, so if the thought of putting this on your skin makes your face turn seven shades of green, and your stomach dancing like a drunk dude with two left feet it’s safe to say that this product might not be for you.
I’m not entirely sure from whom they’ve collected the placenta, it is mammal placenta, and I belive it to be from sheep, but then again not 100% sure.

I tried this product when I was fresh as a toddler in the AB game and was sure that this would be a revolutionary ampoule that my skin would befriend instantly, boy was I wrong!
I’ve tried this two times just to be sure that both me and my skin really hate it, like deep into my fairydusted heart hatred.
So this is what happened:
I applied the product as instructed, and instantly felt my face tingle, and not in the good rollercoaster tummy tingling way, more the oh god did I just peel off nine layers of skin way.
I saw no other way than to wash it of and face the consequences, which weren’t bad right away, but I only had to have residues of this on my face for a few hours before shit started to pop up all over the place!
At first I believed it to be purging, as my friend Dr. Google suggested, but when it had managed to cover larger parts of my face with ugliness one could safely say that it wasn’t just some good old purging.

After that I steered clear of the product for a while, using other amazing remedies just to get my skin back to state is was pre sheepshit time.
So silly me, being curious and all decided that I had to try it one more time, maybe I had done it wrong the first time? Maybe I put it on wrong? Or maybe there was something else that had made my skin ragequit? Maybe my skin wasn’t ready for this remedy destined to make your face cute as a lamb?
Well yeah, no. I experienced the same result this time, just not so severe, but it made me break out in places that has never before been seen as a problem area, and let me tell you, there are very few non-problem areas in that big ass face of mine.
So for now I’ve reached the conclusion that me and this gorgeous little bottle of mama-jam aren’t ment to be.

But I would love to hear from somebody else if they’ve experienced positive results with this ampoule!

So overall?
Very pleasing on the eye, the container has this gorgeous blue color, a hygienic dropper and a clean design. But that is probably all I have to say about it when it comes to the positive.
This product is not for me what so ever, I really want to like it and reap the benefits from it, but me and the ampoule have decided to part as friends, no hard feelings.
So this won’t have a home on my shelf anymore, but I hope for it’s sake that there are many others out there who j’adore it!

Rant of the week done! Tomorrow I will have a post up about one of my favorite products from Mizon, trust me, you’re gonna love it!

My daily skin care routine 🐱

So, we meet again!
Hello darlings, dudelings and everyone inbetween!

This post is in no shape or form sponsored. These are my words and honest opinions.

I earlier today Instagrammed that I would be posting my skin care routine, so here it is, keep in mind, I’m still tweaking, adding, switching, loving and hating the products, but for now, these are my go-to’s. Just wait until my haul hits the mail, then the routine will look a whole lot different, and pinker and cuter and everything nice. Because we all know I can’t control myself when it comes to cute.
In this post I just list the things I use daily, so it will not have my adored sheet masks or my exfoliators in this one because well, that’s for another day!

So for now, this is what it looks like;

I start off with;
The Face Shop rice water bright cleansing oil; so far I have nothing bad to say about it, it does it’s job, takes the makeup off, spreads evenly, but it does sting the eyes if you’re clever enough to accidentally get some of it in there. I continue with the Holy Mother of Gel Cleansers:
Cosrx’s Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser; I don’t want to insult this cult product in any way, but I don’t really see the hype, I mean, it cleanses well, takes all the dirt that the oily deliciousness didn’t, but I really can’t stand the scent or the tight face feeling, so I will probably switch this one out as soon as one of the three others I’ve ordered arrive.

After cleansing comes toner!

Etude House’s Wonder Pore Freshner; Does the job for me, I like it, and don’t really know what more there is to say, love the packaging, it really has that fresh and simple look, love it!

Next I like to switch it up all depending on if it’s the AM or PM routine, usually I incorporate Cosrx’s BHA Blackhead Power Liquid in the AM routine, and Cosrx’s AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid in the PM, I don’t use these everyday, but when I do, that is how it goes down. For those easier days (read, too lazy to do a full on super routine) I just slap on my highly praised Skinfood Peach Sake Serum and do a little happy dance before moving on to the next step. 🙂

I am a huge fan of the snail. Snailpower all the way! Therefore my choice of eye cream falls on the Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream: spreads nicely, no offensive scent, and soaks rather quickly into the skin, so all is well!
Then comes the moisturizer, which I just hands down adore! The idea of  heavy, thick creams still scare me, you know, mental scars from the western product days when a thick cream would break you out and make your face look like a zombiecheesepizza that just had to run it’s course..
So when I first got started I ordered a gel cream, and it does it’s job, spreads evenly, and my face feels nice and babybooty-like when it has absorbed. I am of course talking about the Moistfull Collagen Water Jelly Cream from Etude House, j’adore!

At last comes the sun screen, or sleeping pack, depending on what your next step is. You going to bed? Slap on some panda! You going to meet a lovely in the park for a picnic? Gurl, get your UV-protection on!
My protector is Missha’s All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk. Not only does it spread evenly, soak up fast and leave a matte and gorgeous canvas to smear your makeup on, but the lid is pink! The packaging on this bad girl is just so cute, sleek, minimalistic and nice. You can tell that I adore it. I have this thing for products that work and are easy on the eyes!

So there you have it!
In-between here I also variate with sheet masks, exfoliators and this one ampoule that I’ve tried three times, but has broken me out like a motherducker, but we’ll save that for another post!

If you have any HolyMoly products that we should try out, let us know!

Review: The Saem Urban Eco Harakeke Firming Seed Eye Cream

Let’s start with the basic info  ↓

Product type: Eye cream
Purpose: Moisturizing, firming and helping the skins elasticity
Price on Ebay: 12,43 USD

More details  ↓

Colour: White
Scent: Difficult to say. But it’s a pleasant scent. I would say it smells fresh and natural 🙂
Consistancy: On the heavier side but spreads out nicely. I would say it’s creamy or buttery.
Container: For an eye cream container I would say this is very big and bulky. Definetely not travel friendly. I’ve literally never in my life seen an eye cream this big!
Packaging: Nice packaging. Comes with a spatula.

My thoughts around the product before buying it, and how I came to actually buying it  ↓

This was when I was completely fresh in the AB game and was missing an eye cream in my skin care routine. I had gone with out for I would say probably 2 years? Which I know isn’t exactly very good if you want to take care of your eye area and prevent unnecisary damage, but that’s the story.

So I there I was searching for reviews etc on the web. I came across quite a few, but I didn’t know what I wanted or even more importantly; what I needed. The only thing I decided on right away, was that I wasn’t going to spend a fortune on an eye cream, especially when I didn’t know what I was looking for. So I ended up with The Saem Urban Eco Harakeke Firming Seed Eye Cream, because people seemed to think it was allright, even good. But mostly because it was affordable.

What did I think about it?  ↓

At first I liked the product. I liked the scent, the feel of it and I felt that it helped moisturizing my eye area. However I didn’t notice if it helped firming or helped with the elasticity of the skin. But I’m guessing that’s because I only used it for about 2 weeks, and I’m still young so there’s really not a lot of skin that needs firming.

After using the eye cream for about 2 weeks I started noticing small but noticable bumps under my eyes. I’ve never had them before so naturally I wondered what they were and why I suddenly had them. Obviously it had to be the eye cream as the bumps appeared only after using it.  Shortly after I found out that the bumps were milium cysts, also called milia. They show up when keratin is trapped beneath the surface of the skin. I read that it could take a few months for them to clear up, but thankfully they disappeared within a week. All I had to do was stop using any kinds of eye creams until they went away 🙂

My ratings after about 2 weeks of use  ↓

Performance: 5/10
Scent: 8/10
Packaging: 10/10
Container: 4/10
Price: 8/10

Overall: 5/10

What’s my conclusion?
Unfortunately this eye cream didn’t get along with my skin, so I wouldn’t purchase it again. I think it’s too rich and too heavy for me, probably because my skin wasn’t that dry to begin with. However, I definetely think it would be good for someone who actually has a drier eye area. I’m not saying it’s a bad product. It just didn’t work out for me, and it’s fully possible that someone else will love it. Everone’s different 🙂

Vicky 🙂

Mini haul: this is what I’m waiting for next

Review; TonyMoly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack

   TonyMoly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping pack

This review is in no shape or form sponsored. These are my words and honest opinions.

Before we get on with the whole review I should probably admit two things; firstly, I’m rather fresh to the whole AB (Asian-Beauty) game, as opposed to the other more experienced half of this blog.
So you all get to take part in the wonderful journey whereas I discover holy grails, snails and fails, lucky you!
Secondly; I friggin LOVE cute packaging! I’m probably the ideal target audience for TonyMoly, I want it all because.. well, pandas, piggies and everything adorable! When I think about it, thats probably gonna be my downfall
Skin: No, Mocka, we don’t like this product, we’re gonna break out.
Me: But… cuteness overload, cute packaging equals cute and skin-friendly product, yes?

Enough about my eternal fondness for the cute, lets get down to business!

Product: TonyMoly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping pack
Price: 8-10$ (Ebay, Jolse, Bbcosmetic, Sephora)
Good for: Moisture, even out skin tone, brighten dark spots

The panda in question is as the title says a sleeping pack, so this is the sucker you smear on right before you go to sleep, and is to be applied on a clean face, so it’s the last step of the routine in other words.

So, this product claims to brighten your dark spots, even out your skin tone, and of course give your skin the oh so delicious moisture it needs. It plans to do this with the good help of Lavender, Rosemary, Bamboo Shoot Extract, and Berry Extracts.
Which is nice! According to CosDNA it’s not full of bad stuff necessarily, but some people might experience breakouts or irritation from it. So I and probably every other k-beauty person out there would recommend to patch test it.

The product itself has a kind of cloudy gel consistency, it’s nice and spreads out evenly, and a little actually goes longer than one might think!
I’ve been using this every night the last three weeks, and I’m about 1/3 down in the pot of bamboo goodness!
I know that not everybody uses sleeping packs every night, but until I find the perfect cream moisturizer I will continue to do it like this.
I was also surprised to see how fast it absorbed into the skin, not that I’m the all-knowing god of the sleeping packs, but my skin just ate it all up in 5 minutes tops.

The smell is really good actually, it has this fresh, clean smell with a hint of.. sweet lavender?
I’m not the best at identifying scents, but it smells sweet and fresh, and I love it!

So overall?

It’s a very nice sleeping pack, it sinks in pretty quickly, you don’t feel like you’re gonna attract all of your pillow lint when you go to sleep, and it leaves the face feeling fresh in the morning, I for one got that smooth babybooty face when I wake up!
As for the claims it makes of evening skin tone or even being a whitening mask, yeah, sure, to some degree, it will help a little with evening, but the effects you get are only temporary, so when you rub off the mask come morning time, so does the effect.
But it does help with the gigantic purple/blue/ugghness circles, they have yet to hit the road for good, but there is improvement!
Also, what the heck? I’m gonna check of a point, just for it lacking a device or a spatula or something to actually pick up the product, maybe I’m the only one, but I’m not a huge fan of poking my finger into the product itself, I like to have something that does the dirty(but really oh so clean) work for me.
Considering that this is a reasonable sleeping pack it does a good job in the whole moisturizing department, temporarily at least.

 The Pros:

* Moisture
* Improving dark circles
* Super cute packaging
* Subtle fresh smell
* Reasonably priced

The Cons:

 * Whitening, yet to happen
* No spatula

I would probably buy this product again, maybe not for its claimed effects, but for the moisture and of course the packaging!
