First Impression; Petitfée Black Pearl & Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch

Hello darlings!

I know, I know, Vicky just posted a first impression, and here I am, Mrs. Slowpants with yet another one. But don’t you just adore us for testing and sniffing, just to make both yours and our trip through the product jungle just a tad easier?

Anyways! This came in the mail on Friday, but I haven’t gotten around to testing it before now, which means I slapped a pair of these on both yesterday and today, just to be sure that the first impression matched the second. Or maybe because I liked the luxurious sensation it gave my IKEA bags?
Also, can I just say, the name basically translates in my head to Pirate Ship & Loot, so that’s what I’m gonna call it from now on, fyi.

Name: Petitfée Black Pearl & Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch (Pirate Ship & Loot)
Product: Eye patches
Good for: Purifying skin, moisture, nutrition, reduce visibility of sleepy eye bags
Description: Black Pearl which contains 20 kinds of mineral and amino acid for no blemish clear and gorgeous skin.
Vitality of gold keeps healthy skin tone and vital eye-skin.
Price: 9-12$ (Ebay, Amazon, Jolse)
Cosdna  (Long list, but not the worst irritants)

It does look luxurious though, and the name screams buy me, or at least it did for me, but then again, advertisers love me because I’m easy to convince.
Also I have mentioned a couple of times that I want good eye stuff. Imagine a day where you wake up after four hours of sleep, shit tired, bags all the way down to your chin, no coffee, no makeup and you’re still rocking the goddess look, with eyes so awake and bright that by passers fear they might pop out at any given second. Yeah, not gonna happen, but just imagine it! I will settle for less bags and more glow, if that’s possible.

Anyway, enough day dreaming. Let’s get down to business!
The container is pretty to look at, simple, and solid plastic, which is good. I really like the box it came it, solely based on the fact that it wore the color of gold. What can I say? I’m easy to please.
It also came with it’s very own lifting single hydrogel patches – spatula, that looks like a plastic shovel, which is funny if you’re imagining you’re digging for gold, and you sort of are, considering the color of these badboys! Can I just say “Arrrrgh” or “Ho ho ho”? Either works.
Look mama, I found gold! “Aaarrrgh, matey, such a good little pirate you are!”
No? Nothing? I lol’d.

Texture & Smell:
The Pirate Ship & Loot patches don’t really smell much. Not sure if it’s because my pirate senses aren’t really there yet, or if they actually don’t have a particular scent, but they smell like wet rubber, a little bit at least.
The container is also filled with a liquid, which I just assume is the essence, because how else are they supposed to soak in the glorious eye goodness?
Obviously they are jelly, and if you stick them between two fingers and wiggle, they will make that “slap-slap” sound on your skin. I’ve tested it for you guys, sacrificed a patch for science!
But the look of these, mygod, they’re so pretty; see through with a black/grey film and tiny pieces of gold, I could stare at these for at least three minutes!
No wonder the imaginary pirates want a piece of this jelly treasure.
Well, my imaginary pirates that is. I have no idea what yours want.

Now, I’ve only tested these twice but I do like the effect I’m experiencing after. I feel a bit plump and hydrated, so far no difference in the shopping bags from a place nobody likes, but it might be too soon to tell. I will keep you posted on that!
So far, it gets a claw up, and three parrot “ho’s”, but I’ll of course be back with a review on this treasure, after it’s been looted some more!

I know, a lot of pirate references today. At it again with that netflixing…

Have you tried this product?
Did someone try to steal your eyes because they sparkled so much after using it?

Let me know!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, the hype.

Hello darlings!

So after endless posts about how amazing this thing is, I had to buy it, Stylekorean had an offer on the set, the sleeping mask and the lip mask, and I thought “what the heck!”

But I must say, I don’t see the hype. Don’t get me wrong, it’s delish fish on the skin. You wake up baby smooth and overall it’s a good sleeping mask, but here’s the kicker; it feels EXACTLY the same as the panda sleeping pack, no joke. I felt no difference, and last night I put them both to the test.
I scraped the barrel, or container of the panda, and put it on the left side of my face, the Laneige on the right side, slept like a baby, and woke up this morning.
No difference, the same smooth face, (with a little purging from other products here and there) on both the right and the left side. Shocker, right?
And comparing the Cosdna on both makes me an even bigger fan of the Panda!
Laneige vs Panda
Not that there’s a major difference. Both have irritants/acne but the panda has extracts that my skin seems to like, remember Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV).
What my skin prefers might not be the thing that your skin needs.

But don’t get me wrong, I love it, which makes sense considering that I love the panda, only thing I find different between the two is that the Laneige doesn’t spread as easily and it has a blue hue to it, which the panda doesn’t.

I was surprised to discover this. I might not be the first, but I haven’t seen anyone comparing the two, seeing as they’re in way different leagues.
But hey, I’ll empty the Laneige, but I won’t buy it again. I understand why it’s a highly praised product, but if you can get three pandas for the price of one Laneige, I know which one to pick.

I will of course be back with a full comparison post, if that’s interesting?
I just had to inform the interwebs about my shocking discovery, which probably is neither, and has been mentioned a thousand times before.
But there you have it! And that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

When it comes to the lip mask, I like it so far, I’ve tried it two times, it is my first lip mask though, only thing that comes close to this are the different lip scrubs I’ve tried, but then again, two whole different things! I’m interested in trying more lip masks, because it is a nice concept, go to sleep with dry lips, wake up with smooth kissable lips, what more can a girl ask for?

Let me know if you’ve tried these products, and what you thought about them (:

First Impression; Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream

Hello darlings!

As always I’m testing and sniffing, and we all know that first impressions are important, from people, food to ofc, K-beauty products!
So I’ve now tested the eye cream a couple of times, and that means that it’s time for a first impression!

Name: Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream
Product: Eye Cream (du-uh)
Good For: Fine lines, wrinkles, moisture,
There’s no need for an expensive high-end eye cream anymore with this affordable
high-quality eye cream! Galactomyces works not only to lock in moisture within
your skin but also to rid of any residues piled up in your pores and to remove
any signs of fine lines along your contours, delivering an overall effect of
a more translucent and naturally glowing skin!
Price:  6-11$ (Testerkorea, Ebay, Jolse)

So this ended up in my basket after purchasing my second Mizon Snail Eye cream, which isn’t bad, but I feel it does shit-all for me, so why not try something new?
I’ve read nice things about it, it’s cheap and looks like it’s gonna last a while, only thing that’s not so nice about it is the Cosdna list, but hey, I’ve seen worse!

So let’s get on with it!

Texture & Smell:
It doesn’t really smell that much, but I’m still full of snot and everything not so nice so my nose can’t be trusted. I have however consulted with Mrs. Mother, and she describes it as a very subtle hint of peach/apricot. So basically it doesn’t really smell that much.
The consistency I would describe as white creamy goo, like any other eye cream basically.

You get what I mean right? creamy cream cream!

I may have squeezed out a little bit to much, but I rubbed it on both palms to get a more realistic picture, so you spread it, and it looks like this. I always fear an oily finish when it comes to white creams, but then again, I’m almost always pleasantly surprised when the product soaks in.

Nicely soaked in, and no trace of oily ughness!

Surely the cream acts a little bit different when applied to the area it’s made for, but you still end up with a nice finish. BUT you guys, we all love ourselves some galactic mice, and this cream is one of those that you can use all over your face! If you want to of course, I would recommend using essences that contain galactomyces instead, but maybe that’s just me, and my fear of too many irritants in the eye cream?

So far so good, I don’t really feel that this eye cream has that much to live up to if I were to compare it to the one I have been using, but as always, I will have a full review up when I’ve put this one to the test, and my sniff senses are back to full speed again, which can be in 3 days or weeks, who knows?

Have you tried this product?
And did you smear it all over your face, and feel like a fabulous galactic mouse?
That would be awesome, who doesn’t want to feel like that?
I’m going to try it and let you guys know!

Peace & Love

First Impression; A;T Fox Gyoolpy Tea Gel Cream

Cuteness overload.

Hello darlings!

So I posted about this product yesterday, and several others, click here to check that post out!
And I’m never a slowfox when it comes to testing my new arrivals, seeing as my current moisturizer cream is running extremelyyyyy low, and the new one probably won’t get here until next week, I thought, what the heck, Imma smear it all over mah face, get sooome!
(I see now that I’ve been netflixing a little too much lately, so the language is somewhat.. Nuanced. Sorry, not sorry)

So this one I with out a single doubt in the whole entire K-beauty world bought just based on the looks of it, I know, shallow!
But! I have read a good review on it prior to purchasing, but we all know I would’ve bought it no matter the content.

Anyways! Lovely fluffy fact time!
Name: A;T Fox Gyoolpy Tea Gel Cream
Product: Gel Cream
Good For: Moisture
Description: High concentrates of Vitamin-C from the Gyoolpy Tea deeply nourishes and moisturizes the skin, leaving a refreshing, lasting glow on
your skin. Also, being a gel-type cream, it spreads and penetrates into the skin smoothly
and without curdling, and at the same time creates a thin, moisture layer over your skin to prevent dehydration
Price: 13.50$ (TesterKorea)

Basically super adorable and I love it! But will I love the content?

If I were to compare it to my other jelly cream I would say that this would not be the winner, but that is only based on a first impression, this might be a sweet surprise or a bitter bread, who knows?
Anyways! Let’s get down to sniffing and feeling!

When I first opened it I was like, OMG THIS IS GONNA SMELL LIKE THE BEES KNEES, or just a honey packed cupcake, well, someone shoulda read the description.
I mean, it’s yellow, jelly, in a sweet cupcake that one easily could associate with honey, so I’m not totally wrong, but one look at the text that appears when one scrolls down on the website might give one a clearer picture of what this pastry actually smells like.

That being said, this mofo has high concentrations of Vit C from the Gyoolpy Tea, and we all love ourselves some Vitamin C! It does according to Cosdna have two ingredients that I’m not a particular fan of, them being Butylene Glycol (1) and Triethanol Amine (2). When you have acne-prone sensitive skin you don’t really want to stirr shit up, which these might have a tendency to do, however, I do have a couple of products that work their magic, and these ingredients are indeed listed on these washywash gems I hold close to my heart! So I’m going to be optimistic and say that this cake and I, we’ll be drinking tea and holding hands by the end of the month! Look at that optimism, guys! I really wanna get along with this one, fingers crossed!

Anyway! here’s how it looks and sniffs!:
It even looks like honey-jelly-goodness, lordy!
It feels kind of oily when first applied, the complete opposite of the jelly cream I usually use (Etude House Moistfull Collagen Jelly Cream, if you haven’t stalked all my posts yet. <3)
But it get’s better once you start spreading! That didn’t sound wrong what so ever, promises.
Then again, now it looks oily, and my biggest fear then is that it might clog every single goddamn pore that has decided to populate my face, which would be just friggin annoying, breaking out because of a pastry? not cool.

All soaked in and ready to go! The finish is however a little bit more shiny in real life, not like “a whole day sweating in the sun” shiny, but leaning towards dewy as opposed to the matte finish that I adore, I know, demanding and not afraid to show it!

On this one I had to ask for assistance from my very good helper Mr. Boyfriend, seeing as my nose is more clogged than a nightclub toilet after a good old fashioned rave, so what did he have to say about the smell?
Mild but good, fresh with a hint of flowery shit.
I’ll just take his word for it until the full review hits the fan!

So far, I think I like it, I’ve only applied it once, but the clogged pore feeling was almost non-existent, the fear got to me when I put it on, but swooshed away as soon as I’d let it sink in!

That’s it for now, I will be back with a full review once this cream has been baked whipped, and frosted!

Rant of the week; Cloud 9 Blanc De Brightening Cream

Hello darlings!

It’s that time of the week again, and I’m back with a product that didn’t send me to cloud 9, or any other nice cloud except for the clouds in my eyes when they were filled with tears and the feeling of betrayal.

Well, maybe it wasn’t that extreme, but it stung a bit to know that this floof of a miracle didn’t go well with my skin, at all. We were supposed to fly in the sky together, while looking awesome and whitened!

I have written a first impression on this earlier, click here to check it out!

So let’s get down and cloudy with the details on this one!

Name: Cloud9 Blanc De Whitening Cream
Product: Whitening Cream
Good For: Moisture, Brightening
Product description: This magical cream brightens skin ASAP, and the naturally brightened effect lasts up to 12 hours. With continuous usage, it also lightens dark spots, reduces redness, and diminishes freckles. The best part is, this miracle is performed by organic herbal ingredients that also restore and rejuvenate skin all day.
Price: 11-18$ (Ebay, RoseRoseShop, Bbcosmetic)

As you can see from the CosDna there really isn’t anything that suggest that my skin shouldn’t get along with it, but then again, my skin has a tendency to be one sneaky motherfucker, and never play by the rules.

Texture and smell:
“It actually looks like they’ve slaughtered an innocent cloud, grabbed the essence, mixed it with some cottage cheese and stuffed it in a tub. I mean look at that! If that doesn’t scream cream gone bad, then I don’t know what does. But it smells good tho! And the spatula is still cute.” It spreads evenly and smells nice, when you first apply it you will fear that your face is gonna stay that white, but when it gets to do it’s job and soak in, it will only leave a whitening effect, not the whole I just happened to plant my face in a bucket of egg shell coloured paint.

So here’s how the testing period went!
We got along just fine the first couple of times I tried it, but I made sure to only use it daytime, because that usually is the most effective way for me to see if it breaks me out or makes me purge. It wasn’t until I tried it in my evening routine that shit hit the fan!
I ended up getting this nasty milia looking thing right under my cheekbone, but it was angry and red (it’s still there if anyone’s wondering.) And I quickly understood that the floof was the sinner in my routine, considering that my skin fix products were the only thing in my routine at the moment (and they are all tested and trusted.)

But of course, being a little too naive and hopeful I tried it for a couple of days after this, but still got the same result, it whitened, but made angry spots appear in places I usually don’t break out, so with a heavy heart I had to let it go.

So overall it annoys me, I really enjoy the effects that it gives, but I don’t want to look like a pizza face with an even skin tone but pepperoni dots all over the place!

That’s all I had about this product, not really an angry rant, but you know, how mean can one be with something that smells nice and you reeaaally want to love, because it’s made of clouds and dreams?

I probably won’t try it out again, or so she says, and hits the cloud tub once again just to make sure. But if you’ve had positive results with this product I would love to hear about it!

The April Empties!

Hello darlings!

We’re approaching May, which means it’s time to share what my silky smooth hands managed to empty during the course of April!
And by approaching I mean it’s already started, because I’m a bit slow and it’s already past midnight, three cheers for Miss Procrastinator!

I can’t say that I’ve emptied a whole lot, but I do have four items that are running low and will be gone before we hit the middle of the month, which means that the May post will be long and lovely!

Anyway, here’s what I finished and my thoughts about the products!

Tonymoly Pokemon Sheet Mask Pack Isanghessi Green tea
Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze; Green Tea, Shea Butter, Pomegranate
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Silky Creamy Donkeysteam Cream Mask Pack
Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack

Innisfree is as you can tell a good representative this month, which totally makes sense considering I bought 15 sheet masks from the same line last month.

So how did I enjoy these products you ask?
Well, let me tell you, young padawan!

Tonymoly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack:
Firstly, the sleeping pack I still adore, I have reviewed it and still stand by what I wrote, click here to read it. It’s light and nice, spreads evenly and you wake up with a smooth, plump face. What more can a girl ask for? Will I repurchase? Absolutely!

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream:
I don’t know where to begin with it, I think it does it’s job, doesn’t give me breakouts and contains one of my favourite ingredients; SNAAAAAILS. *insert snail emoticon x1000 here*
But how does one know if an eye cream works wonders? I haven’t noticed any amazeballs dramatical changes, but then again, I’ve been preoccupied with the rest of my face, so it works fine, not an eye opener when it comes to eye creams, nor the tube of doom that makes you see red. These eye puns are really killing me you guys!
Will I repurchase? Probably, in the lack of the perfect eye cream this will do for now!

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze; Green Tea, Shea Butter, Pomegranate:
So, I just stuffed all these three together. I thought I’d give a detailed review when I’ve tried them all, but so far the Shea Butter is my favourite, it hydrates, doesn’t give off a weird scent and does it’s job!
The green tea one does the bare minimum, maybe it hydrates, who knows? But there’s no change in my skin after usage and it’s slimy like a toddler’s snot. Not for me.
The pomegranate, quite alright, would probably use this again when I’ve been playing around with too many products and need an immediate soothing mask. This shit good, yaaz.

Tonymoly Pokemon Sheet Mask Pack Isanghessi Green tea
Yuck, do I really have to write about it?
It annoyed my skin more than words can describe. The essence dripped everywhere, and when I finally took it off, my neck and chest were covered in it. Didn’t really hit a homerun for me, but the packaging is cute.
Repurchase? Nah.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Silky Creamy Donkeysteam Cream Mask Pack
I still love the ridiculously long name of this mask, but the content I could’ve probably lived happily without. Firstly the essence is a thick cream, the smell is quite a lot considering you’re stuck with it for 10-20 minutes, and there’s just a dash of donkey milk in it! WHAT? I paid good money for some sweet sweet YEE-HAW milk, and this is what I get? To be honest I have no idea if the milk is sweet, but it sounded better so..
Repurchase? I’d rather buy pure goat milk and pour it all over myself.

So that’s it for today!
What’s your empties this month?

Mini haul time!

Hello darlings!

Today’s entry is gonna be a shortie but a goodie!

I’m trying really hard to follow the 1empty1newbie rule, but when the heart desires something, who am I to say no? Gigglesnort

So I am in fact running low on moisturizer, and figured I might as well buy it now before I’m left with a flawless routine but no heavenly cream at the end of it!

I’m currently using the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Jelly cream, but I’m always up to trying something new!
Etude House Zero Sebum Fresh Gel Cream

I’ve been eyeing this for a little while and have high hopes for it! Still sticking to the whole gel cream thing, but hey, it’s something new! Sort of..

Next I thought I’d stock up on one of the creams I love the most, snaily goodness with a delightful scent! Need I say more? And it’s pink! Double win! (cause I got two of it)
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

And then there’s the newcomer! First of all, it’s pretty, and since Vicky’s been doing my head in on her honey heaven of a cream I thought I’d give it a go, just not the cream.. so I went for the stick, mostly because I tend to get dry patches here and there, and I’m planning on using it as a spot moisturizer, if my skin responds well to it that is! Did I emphasize how pretty it is?
Miss Flower & Mr Honey Essence Stick

Lastly I wanted to treat those heavy IKEA bags under my eyes with something nice, so I ended up buying some of that hydrogel magic in the form of eyepatches, awyiiizz!

Petitfee Black Pearl & Gold Eye Patch

So that’s currently what I’m waiting for, (from today’s haul at least) And I’m so excited to try them all!
