Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, the hype.

Hello darlings!

So after endless posts about how amazing this thing is, I had to buy it, Stylekorean had an offer on the set, the sleeping mask and the lip mask, and I thought “what the heck!”

But I must say, I don’t see the hype. Don’t get me wrong, it’s delish fish on the skin. You wake up baby smooth and overall it’s a good sleeping mask, but here’s the kicker; it feels EXACTLY the same as the panda sleeping pack, no joke. I felt no difference, and last night I put them both to the test.
I scraped the barrel, or container of the panda, and put it on the left side of my face, the Laneige on the right side, slept like a baby, and woke up this morning.
No difference, the same smooth face, (with a little purging from other products here and there) on both the right and the left side. Shocker, right?
And comparing the Cosdna on both makes me an even bigger fan of the Panda!
Laneige vs Panda
Not that there’s a major difference. Both have irritants/acne but the panda has extracts that my skin seems to like, remember Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV).
What my skin prefers might not be the thing that your skin needs.

But don’t get me wrong, I love it, which makes sense considering that I love the panda, only thing I find different between the two is that the Laneige doesn’t spread as easily and it has a blue hue to it, which the panda doesn’t.

I was surprised to discover this. I might not be the first, but I haven’t seen anyone comparing the two, seeing as they’re in way different leagues.
But hey, I’ll empty the Laneige, but I won’t buy it again. I understand why it’s a highly praised product, but if you can get three pandas for the price of one Laneige, I know which one to pick.

I will of course be back with a full comparison post, if that’s interesting?
I just had to inform the interwebs about my shocking discovery, which probably is neither, and has been mentioned a thousand times before.
But there you have it! And that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

When it comes to the lip mask, I like it so far, I’ve tried it two times, it is my first lip mask though, only thing that comes close to this are the different lip scrubs I’ve tried, but then again, two whole different things! I’m interested in trying more lip masks, because it is a nice concept, go to sleep with dry lips, wake up with smooth kissable lips, what more can a girl ask for?

Let me know if you’ve tried these products, and what you thought about them (:

Look at what the mailman brought!

Hello darlings!

I just got a bunch of products that I’ve been pining and longing for at least a couple of days! Then again, we all know that I’m an impatient little hauler, or as Vicky calls me “Queen of Haul”. Gotta love the ring of that name, though!

Anyways! Here are the items that arrived today;
Pictured are:

This is one of the products I’ve been sniffing for a while now, there has been positive talk about it, and since the one I’m currently using doesn’t really do anything, what’s the harm in trying another one? So the choice was simple, I’ve heard good things and anything that doesn’t break me out will do, so I’m super excited to try this one!

A;T Fox Gyoolpy Tea gel cream
Again I fell for the cuteness! I mean look at it, looooooooook!
I’ve read some decent reviews on it, and I really love a good gel/water cream, I still have this deep running fear for everything creamy, so for now I’ll settle for gel types, I have to admit that I actually forgot that I’d ordered this, so imagine my surprise when I opened the package and discovered this little gem! And now you’re thinking, how do you forget what you’ve ordered? Well, Vicky doesn’t call me the Queen Of Haul for nothing, I’m a royal goddess when it comes to forgetting my purchases. I blame the coffee.
Anyways! I can’t wait to try it, and I will of course be back with a full review on it!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
Laneige Lip Mask

These have to be the products I hear about the most (talking to you here, Vicky) The sleeping mask was one of the first things I had to poke my nose in, when visiting the other half of this blog, and boy, did it smell great or what?
I truly love sleeping masks, I’ve emptied the panda, waiting for the Cosrx rice one (and I’ve been waiting over a month for it, actually) so this came at the perfect time! This will be tested tonight!
And the lip mask, well, my lips are extremely dry. They chap up real quick no matter the season, and let’s just say that lipstick never hides the problem, it highlights it, so maybe this little berry fairy will work it’s magic for me?

Missha The Style 4D Mascara
Lastly we have this one, what is the point of having a clean and blackhead free face, if you don’t have the correct product to highlight the whole window to your soul feature? You can’t have a mediocre mascara if you’re going to bat your long luscious lashes at strangers.
So I’m gonna put this one to the test, hopefully it works better than the old trusted drugstore one I have at the moment, I think a dust buster with charcoal would work better than what I have at the moment, so there probably is little to no doubt about which one that’s going to work better.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready to test them all!
Which one should I try first?

Review: Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask

Hey guys!

Today I’ll be reviewing a product that I’ve had my hands on for a couple of months now, the Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask. This product comes in four different “flavours”; Grapefruit, Vanilla, Apple/lime and Berry which is the one I’m talking about today. In case there’s any confusion; it’s the pink one!

So why did I purchase the Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask?
Some of you might wonder “Why buy a sleeping mask for your lips?” And to be honest that’s a very fair question, because many people don’t even apply a sleeping mask on their face. So, is a lip sleeping mask necessary? Probably not for everyone, but I’d say it’s definitely a good product for those with dry, chapped lips like myself. Especially during the autumn – and winter months. Personally I find that during said months my lips get dry to the point where they crack open, sting and bleed. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

The basics   ↓
Product type: Lip sleeping mask.
Flavour: Berry.
Purpose: Hydrate, moisturize and heal.
Step in skin care routine: Last step at night.

More details   ↓
Colour: Coral pink
Scent: Strawberry
Consistency: Quite thick and greasy, a bit sticky
Appearance on the lips: Very shiny!
Feeling on the lips: Very luxurious and smooth.
Container: Small, pink and cute! Oh, and it’s made of plastic and appears to be quite solid.
Packaging: Light blue, which is rather misleading for a very pink product? Other than that; rather boring looking and it comes with a spatula.

So what do I think of the Laneige Specical Care Lip Sleeping Mask?
I bought this product after falling in love with it’s big brother; the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (you know, the one for your face?) So it wasn’t a complete shock when the Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask also impressed me! I must say that I really enjoy using this product. I think it’s a great thing to have on hand when the autumn sneaks up on you with it’s dry, cold wind to prepare you for an even harsher winter, at least where I live! I don’t use this lip mask every night, though. Only when I need it, which is regularly in the autumn and winter. Hell, I even use it during the day sometimes! But seriously, this product is a great treat whenever your lips are dry and chapped, and you want to wake up with soft, beautiful lips! Did I mention that it smells sooo good? I really don’t see any cons when it comes to this lip mask.
