My updated skincare routine!

Hello darlings!

So, as time changes, so does my routine. There’s always something that has to go to make room for something new, and I love rotating products. Basically, I love when something works so well that it can replace something that didn’t work quite as well!

img_8189.jpg

Look at all those lovelies!

Anyways, my routine for now, step by step:

img_8194
We start off with the KOSE Softy Mo Facial Cleansing Oil Speedy, which once up on a time had a label, but not anymore, so I pimped it.
This really gets the job done. It takes all of my makeup off without feeling harsh or leaving an oily residue, love it!

img_8191
Cosrx Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Ergh, where do I begin with this? I know it’s a HG for many, but for me it’s just ok. It does it’s job and all, but I just can’t stand the smell. I’m really not a fan of the tea tree scent, but I love the job it does.

img_8200
Mizon AHA&BHA Daily Clean Toner

This I really like. It feels good on the skin, smells nice and does what it’s supposed to. I also like the design of the bottle, even more when pimped.

img_8192
Cosrx Racist Galactic Mice Essence
(Whitening Galactomyces)
I really like the name Reddit has given it, and so far I enjoy it in my routine. This was handed to me by Vicky, as she bought it when she thought she needed whitening, but when that wasn’t the case, she kindly donated it to a fellow K-beauty lover, me that is.

img_8201
Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum
You guys already know that I’m deeply and madly in love with this serum. There is no other serum for me than this. The smell, the feel of it on my skin, the texture, and it has indeed controlled sebum and smoothened my skin after a while of using it. (I just ordered 3 more just to stock up, that’s how much I love it)!

img_8197
Mizon Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule
Honestly, I like this, but I have no idea how much of a job it does. It’s nice and sticky when applied but when it soaks in it isn’t noticeable. Neither are the effects, so far.
I’m 2/3 down in this, and have no idea if it works or not, but I’ll use it up, and look for another, just to have something to compare it to.

img_8193
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream
I love this, I love this so much! The smell, the texture, the way it feels on my skin when I massage it in, and the fact that it’s actually helping my skin. After having used this for quite some time I noticed a positive change in my scarring, slowly but steadily.

img_8199
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Water Jelly Cream
This just smells so good. That was the first thing I noticed about this jelly when I first got it and started using it. It has this clean fresh scent. I usually use this and the Mizon Gel Cream together sometimes, like actually mix them together in the palm of my hand and slap it on my face, which seems to work for me, but YMMV.
I also love the fact that it is a gel cream, and not a heavy white one (yes, the fear of them white creams are still real).

img_8202
Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream
This.. Well, I ran out of my usual Mizon eye cream and I’m still putting this to the test, so for now it has it’s place in my routine, but I’m not totally sold on it, so I might switch it up and try another one (still waiting on that The Ordinary eye serum, fingers crossed that it’s a miracle worker).

img_8195
Missha All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk SPF 50+ /PA+++
Ah, this guy. It’s the MVP in my routine. My face instantly goes from shiny/dewy to matte, protected and makeup ready! It’s also awesome on those days I’m not wearing makeup and just need my face to not shine as bright as an oily diamond.
Plus for both keeping my skin breakout free, and not leaving a white cast.

So that’s the routine, but I also have my “sometimes buddies”:

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot,
Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
Laneige Special Care Water Sleeping Mask
Banila Co. Miss Flower & Mr Honey Essence Stick

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot.
This is the buddy that makes life with spots a little less hard. Slap it on at night and wake up with a face half as angry as the night before.
Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
Well, we’ve all heard of this one, and it does it’s job, keeping them pores at bay.
Laneige Special Care Water Sleeping Mask
Still not a fan of it… Let me rephrase that; I like it, but it’s basically the same as my beloved panda, but 3x as expensive and heavier on the skin.
Banila Co. Miss Flower & Mr Honey Essence Stick
My go to when my face needs a little extra attention in the form of hydration, smells like honey heaven and delivers moisture like the little busy bee it is.

So that’s my routine for now, always changing for both better and worse!

Have you tried any of these products?
Let me know!

Rant of the Week! Or not?

Hello Darlings!
img_8121.jpg
So, Monday usually means Rant of the week, but guess what, I don’t have anything to rant about this week!
Well, if you read on after this, there will be hints of ranting, but not really!
Last week I promised you a full comparison between the long loved Laneige Sleeping Mask and the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack, and today is the day! (or night, you should know I really am an owl that likes to stay up late and sniff my products, but don’t tell anybody, they might think I’m weird or something.)20170416_192659

 Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
Product: Sleeping pack

A sleeping pack that promises to have it all!
This I purchased because it had “amaze” written all over it, both on Reddit, Instagram, and based on what Vicky said about it, it just had to be a Godsend!
When I first used this I had already emptied my first panda, and was in desperate need for a new sleeping pack! Imagine my surprise when after using this I felt it to be exactly the same as the panda, only more pricey.
Texture & Smell:
It’s a cloudy gel with a blue hue, and has a wonderful and fresh smell, the kind of smell you just want to sniff really hard!

Name: TONYMOLY Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack
Product: Sleeping pack
Good for:Whitening, moisturizing, multi function sleeping pack
Description:“Tonymoly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack is a lightweight overnight whitening cream. It will help to even out skin tone, lighten dark spots, and effectively moisturize the skin. The gel formula quickly absorbs into the skin and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy feeling. There is no need to worry about it transferring to your pillow and it is perfect for all skin types!”
Price: 11$ (Jolse)
Cosdna
This I first bought when seeing it at Sephora in Poland, this was when I was totally fresh to AB and had heard of Tony Moly, of course the fact that it was shaped like a panda was the selling point, but I came to love this, and later ordered a new one from the interwebs!
Texture & Smell:
Fresh and a hint of flowery fruits, gel like, cloudy cream colored gel.

img_8128
Remember that this is indeed a comparison, so there will be side by side pictures.
I had to break out my emergency panda, you guys! That’s how dedicated I am!

As you can see they resemble each other. I dabbed on a little more of the blue hue dew, but you get the idea.
They both spread evenly, but I find the Panda easier and a bit lighter to spread, it’s not really noticeable unless you smear your face half n’ half, which I did, just to make sure that I really felt they where almost alike.
img_8127

To me they look the same, if you look away from the color difference. I’m actually pretty sure that if they were to make a blind test with these two products, people wouldn’t notice any particular difference.

So what separates them?
Obviously price is the huge difference, there’s 16$ actually, if you’re counting.
Ingredients; Both contain the bad guys, Butylene Glycol & Dimethicone, which, is hard to get away from, these are typical ingredients that you will find in a wide range of products, they are marked as acne/irritants, but if you have skin like mine, it won’t give a damn!
What I like about the panda is that it actually has a lot of nice extracts, that (to me at least) doesn’t irritate, but the Laneige has a tendency to “last” longer on the skin and the packaging is more exclusive, but still cheap plastic.
Both act similar on the skin, they soak in nicely and give a good amount of moisture, and none of the above leave residue on the pillow covers, yay them!

img_8129

Of course the skin is shiny at first, but when the skin eats it all up, it leaves a dewy finish. Yum!

So basically, they’re the same, but different. I like them both, but when it comes down to it, I will probably repurchase the panda, I get the desired effect for less than 50% of what the Laneige costs, how can I ignore that?
With that being said, it all comes down to which ingredients you consider your poison to be. We are all different, and prefer different things, my holy grails might even be your holy fails.

So maybe not a full on hate rant, but now you know what I feel about these moist full beings!

Have you tried any of these, and what are your thoughts on them?
Let me know!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, the hype.

Hello darlings!

img_8017

So after endless posts about how amazing this thing is, I had to buy it, Stylekorean had an offer on the set, the sleeping mask and the lip mask, and I thought “what the heck!”

But I must say, I don’t see the hype. Don’t get me wrong, it’s delish fish on the skin. You wake up baby smooth and overall it’s a good sleeping mask, but here’s the kicker; it feels EXACTLY the same as the panda sleeping pack, no joke. I felt no difference, and last night I put them both to the test.
I scraped the barrel, or container of the panda, and put it on the left side of my face, the Laneige on the right side, slept like a baby, and woke up this morning.
No difference, the same smooth face, (with a little purging from other products here and there) on both the right and the left side. Shocker, right?
And comparing the Cosdna on both makes me an even bigger fan of the Panda!
Laneige vs Panda
Not that there’s a major difference. Both have irritants/acne but the panda has extracts that my skin seems to like, remember Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV).
What my skin prefers might not be the thing that your skin needs.

img_8020
But don’t get me wrong, I love it, which makes sense considering that I love the panda, only thing I find different between the two is that the Laneige doesn’t spread as easily and it has a blue hue to it, which the panda doesn’t.

I was surprised to discover this. I might not be the first, but I haven’t seen anyone comparing the two, seeing as they’re in way different leagues.
But hey, I’ll empty the Laneige, but I won’t buy it again. I understand why it’s a highly praised product, but if you can get three pandas for the price of one Laneige, I know which one to pick.

I will of course be back with a full comparison post, if that’s interesting?
I just had to inform the interwebs about my shocking discovery, which probably is neither, and has been mentioned a thousand times before.
But there you have it! And that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

When it comes to the lip mask, I like it so far, I’ve tried it two times, it is my first lip mask though, only thing that comes close to this are the different lip scrubs I’ve tried, but then again, two whole different things! I’m interested in trying more lip masks, because it is a nice concept, go to sleep with dry lips, wake up with smooth kissable lips, what more can a girl ask for?

Let me know if you’ve tried these products, and what you thought about them (:

Peace&Love
