First Impression; Petitfée Black Pearl & Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch

Hello darlings!

I know, I know, Vicky just posted a first impression, and here I am, Mrs. Slowpants with yet another one. But don’t you just adore us for testing and sniffing, just to make both yours and our trip through the product jungle just a tad easier?

Anyways! This came in the mail on Friday, but I haven’t gotten around to testing it before now, which means I slapped a pair of these on both yesterday and today, just to be sure that the first impression matched the second. Or maybe because I liked the luxurious sensation it gave my IKEA bags?
Also, can I just say, the name basically translates in my head to Pirate Ship & Loot, so that’s what I’m gonna call it from now on, fyi.

Name: Petitfée Black Pearl & Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch (Pirate Ship & Loot)
Product: Eye patches
Good for: Purifying skin, moisture, nutrition, reduce visibility of sleepy eye bags
Description: Black Pearl which contains 20 kinds of mineral and amino acid for no blemish clear and gorgeous skin.
Vitality of gold keeps healthy skin tone and vital eye-skin.
Price: 9-12$ (Ebay, Amazon, Jolse)
Cosdna  (Long list, but not the worst irritants)

It does look luxurious though, and the name screams buy me, or at least it did for me, but then again, advertisers love me because I’m easy to convince.
Also I have mentioned a couple of times that I want good eye stuff. Imagine a day where you wake up after four hours of sleep, shit tired, bags all the way down to your chin, no coffee, no makeup and you’re still rocking the goddess look, with eyes so awake and bright that by passers fear they might pop out at any given second. Yeah, not gonna happen, but just imagine it! I will settle for less bags and more glow, if that’s possible.

Anyway, enough day dreaming. Let’s get down to business!
The container is pretty to look at, simple, and solid plastic, which is good. I really like the box it came it, solely based on the fact that it wore the color of gold. What can I say? I’m easy to please.
It also came with it’s very own lifting single hydrogel patches – spatula, that looks like a plastic shovel, which is funny if you’re imagining you’re digging for gold, and you sort of are, considering the color of these badboys! Can I just say “Arrrrgh” or “Ho ho ho”? Either works.
Look mama, I found gold! “Aaarrrgh, matey, such a good little pirate you are!”
No? Nothing? I lol’d.

Texture & Smell:
The Pirate Ship & Loot patches don’t really smell much. Not sure if it’s because my pirate senses aren’t really there yet, or if they actually don’t have a particular scent, but they smell like wet rubber, a little bit at least.
The container is also filled with a liquid, which I just assume is the essence, because how else are they supposed to soak in the glorious eye goodness?
Obviously they are jelly, and if you stick them between two fingers and wiggle, they will make that “slap-slap” sound on your skin. I’ve tested it for you guys, sacrificed a patch for science!
But the look of these, mygod, they’re so pretty; see through with a black/grey film and tiny pieces of gold, I could stare at these for at least three minutes!
No wonder the imaginary pirates want a piece of this jelly treasure.
Well, my imaginary pirates that is. I have no idea what yours want.

Now, I’ve only tested these twice but I do like the effect I’m experiencing after. I feel a bit plump and hydrated, so far no difference in the shopping bags from a place nobody likes, but it might be too soon to tell. I will keep you posted on that!
So far, it gets a claw up, and three parrot “ho’s”, but I’ll of course be back with a review on this treasure, after it’s been looted some more!

I know, a lot of pirate references today. At it again with that netflixing…

Have you tried this product?
Did someone try to steal your eyes because they sparkled so much after using it?

Let me know!

A sweet-face sensation!

Hello Darlings, Dudelings and everyone in between!

This first impression is in no shape or form sponsored. These are my words and honest opinions.

Sorry for the late post guys, I’ve been out all day, hunting down the easter bunny with only a bottle of ketchup and a semi roasted hot dog!

So, it’s time for another first impression!
Not so long ago a sweet sensation of a face scrub found it’s way into my shopping cart, and from there all the way in to my bathroom shelf, filled with K-beauty lovelies!
I am of course talking about the highly praised Skinfood Black Sugar Mash Wash Off!

Doesn’t get more classy than placing the product in an easter egg, right?
Anyways, let’s get this egg rollin!

Name: Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off
Product: Exfoliating scrub
Good for: Manual exfoliation, makes your skin babybooty smooth and gives it a glow.
Price: 8-13$ (Ebay, Jolse, Bbcosmetic)
Ingredients: Sucrose, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Clycerin, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Macademia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Lanolin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Laurate, Butylparaben, BHT, Caramel, Parfum.

First off, let’s start with how one would slap this sugary goo on your face!
Apply after washing, do not put this product in your eyes or mouth, it smells amazing but believe it or not, you’re not supposed to consume it! If you have sensitive skin you can alternatively mix the mask with water or oil to reduce the chance of turning this sweet experience into an extremely sour one. And if you wake up one day and decide that you want a lighter scrub, the whole mixing with oil or water thing works for that purpose as well! Massage it in, let it work it’s magic for 10-15 minutes before you wash it off. I would not recommend using it more than 2 times a week, but each to it’s own!

The consistency of this product is as one would expect; sugary, a semi thick paste with sugar grains in it, it’s lovely and if you are silly enough to rub it between your fingers it will tickle!
It smells really good, like sweet black sugar, so the name fits perfectly with the scent, go figure!

What do I think of it so far?
So far I really like it, I’ve already used it twice and my skin hasn’t raged even a fraction of what I thought it might! A few purging spots have occurred, but it’s a small price to pay for the services it’s done. This black sugary beauty will go permanently in my routine once a week, because it really get’s the dirt out and leaves your face smooth and ready for pampering! And have you looked at the price? 8 dollars! That’s an extremely reasonable sugar high if you ask me.

So that’s what I think so far, and there will probably be more sweet talk about this when it’s been tested, sniffed, poked and applied even more!

Have you tried this, and what did you feel about it?

Goodies in the mail!

Hello darlings, dudelings and everyone in between!

Here’s a short, but sweet post on the items mentioned on our instagram feed, that finally came to mama! When saying finally I mean after 10 days, which in reality is pretty fast, but I have the patience of an bamboo-craving panda, so 10 days for me is A LOT. When we all know that when shipping from Korea to Norway it’s a miracle that it came that fast, and right before easter, wooh!

So, here goes:

Firstly I got my hands on the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Sheet Mask in a variety of versions, basically because I’ve never tried them, and I love a good package deal!
I’ve heard great things about them around the interwebs, so I kinda just had to buy them. (and they’re cheap, which always is a plus)
IMGP8872.pngI have yet to slap them on my beautiful face, but I will give you guys an update as soon as I’ve tried these moisture bombs!

Next I purchased Skinfood’s Black Sugar Mask since I’ve read about it almost everywhere at it seems to be a cult favourite, and so far I adore it! I got the chance to slap it on my face this morning, so of course I did. And boy let me tell you, this one gets the morning nasties out of the pores, not like a stinging sucker that leaves your face sad and red, but you really get that babybooty feeling afterwards! And so far I’ve had no bad reaction or purging from this badboy, so I will try it a few more times before I give it the Hail Mary or Die Gary, all depending on how me and Mr. Sugar Mask get along!

Next we move on to something I’ve been eyeing for a while, Vicky already has this product, so once it’s tried and tested we might do a review where we both share our experience with this snaily goodness!
I’m of course talking about Mizon’s Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule! I really hope this slimy sucker will be a bestie for my skin, because, well, we love snails, don’t we?
This actually came in one of those “Special Edition” promotions, so I got a small All in one snail repair cream with the ampoule, this will also be tested, sniffed, applied and raved or hated, time will tell!

So for now, that’s all I’ve got!
Hopefully there will be a first impression/ short review up by tomorrow on a product I know has a special place in your heart or leaves a bad taste in your mouth, depending on the skin type you’re blessed/cursed with.
Also, can I just say, free samples? Dudes, I love free samples! Or, everything free I have a tendency to like, I mean, it’s free, it smells good and you can smear it on your face, what is not to love about it?
So maybe it’s time to try out some Vit C just to see what the hype is about.. Anyways!

Until next time!

These are all products I’ve had my eye on for at least a month, many of them for several months. There have been various reasons for not having purchased them yet, but there’s also a good reason behind everyone of them still being on my radar. Sometimes a product will be prioritized over another product at that perticular time. And sometimes you just already have enough of one product type sitting around. Nevertheless most of these will all get their chance to shine in my skin care routine at some point.

Stay tuned to find out which ones will be part of my next haul and why!
Have you tried any of these? 😀

Vicky 🙂
