First impression; May Coop Raw Moisturizer

Hiya darlings!

Yes, you’re reading this correctly, we’re back, better, cooler, and super hungry for new awesome skincare products!

And as usual, we’ll be sharing all the details with you!

So today I’m gonna give you all the first impression on this raw little gem that’s gonna hydrate my dry ass skin! (At least that’s what we’re aiming for, am I right?)

Doesn’t it look pretty? So organic and fetch! (Yeah, I know, fetch will never happen, but it was worth a try!) Anyway, here are the facts!

Name: May Coop Raw Moisturizer

Good for: Hydrating, basically.
Description: The Raw Moisturizer is a unique formula moisturizer that contains a powerful combination of 70% maple tree sap, aloe, baobab tree and cactus extracts that easily absorb into the skin. Leaves skin feeling deeply hydrated and smooth. Perfect for all skin types. (Borrowed the info from Peach & Lily.)

This is just adorable, again! Sleek and clean package design that just lures you in, thinking that the product is cleaner than a baby’s freshly wiped buttocks. (Yes, I just typed that.)
I must admit that I didn’t think to research this as much as I should have when I purchased it, and if you’re wondering why I’m even mentioning it, just check the Cosdna. Facts are always hard to swallow when you’ve been shopping at late hours!
Anyway! Let’s talk about the looks of this gem!

Packaging:
It comes in a box looking like wood, and one can tell that there is a “red line” in the packaging from start to finish. You open this little box, and inside, a bagged little thing awaits you. And after a little head scratch and a giggle you untangle the bag and find a beautiful jar, packed with skin-goodness!

It’s just a beauty, and the fact that this is loaded with maple sap, or water if you want to, really reflects in the “wood” packaging. Pretty cool right?
The container itself is made of frosted glass, is a neat size, and has a plastic wooden lid, so this gem, would probably suit most of us as a traveling companion!
(I know for a fact that I’m gonna have it with me this summer holiday, so I’ll make sure to shake the suitcase twice, and give you all a very detailed summary of how it held up compared to my other products, traveling and skin-wise!)

Texture & Smell:
You guys, this thing just smells goodness, and peace and love and everything nice!
The scent isn’t overbearing, it doesn’t just come at you, guns blazin’, and tackle your nose
into a flower frenzy! It’s pleasant, and makes you want to rub it all over your face.
In my opinion it’s subtle, yet sweet and lovable, just like those little sweet porcelain figurines your aunt Margie had when you were a kid. Until then you were told horror stories around the campfire, and from then on had sleep with one eye open, when spending the night at that cunt’s house. Cuz them figurines can’t be trusted.
Anyway, let’s just get this train back on track!
The texture of this hydration bomb is similar to others, it’s creamy and nice, but not too heavy. It has a light cloudiness to it, so it doesn’t look as intimidating as a full on “this is gonna make your face rage” face cream. Which is nice.

It soaks up really fast compared to what I had in mind, and leaves you with a smooth looking patch of skin.
What I do like about it, is that it gives you just a hint of matte-ness when dried down, I really can’t stand those creams that make you so oily that cars would crash when you walk past, because you’re so friggin shiny and blinding. We’ll leave that job to highlighters and makeup.

Anyways!
So far I’ve only gotten to test it for a couple of days, and so far so good, but anyone who’s been reading our blog for a while knows that my skin has a tendency to be one devious little motherbleeper, so fingers crossed that this is a match made in the forrest where they harvested the maple sap. Or heaven. Whichever floats yer boat.
I’ll be back with a full on review on this maple syrup, or sap, or moisturizer when it’s properly sniffed, rubbed, tubbed, loved, and all the other things one could possibly do to a face cream. Maybe it’s safe to eat? Or just.. no.

Remember, what works for me, might not work for you, YMMV.
So I’d recommend always taking a closer look at the product before purchasing. Unless you’re like me, weak for pretty packaging and cute names.
But for clarification, that almost never works out, my skin likes nice ingredients, and doesn’t really care about pink & shiny.

Have you tried this product?
Let us know!

So this ended up in my basket after purchasing my second Mizon Snail Eye cream, which isn’t bad, but I feel it does shit-all for me, so why not try something new?
I’ve read nice things about it, it’s cheap and looks like it’s gonna last a while, only thing that’s not so nice about it is the Cosdna list, but hey, I’ve seen worse!

So let’s get on with it!

Texture & Smell:
It doesn’t really smell that much, but I’m still full of snot and everything not so nice so my nose can’t be trusted. I have however consulted with Mrs. Mother, and she describes it as a very subtle hint of peach/apricot. So basically it doesn’t really smell that much.
The consistency I would describe as white creamy goo, like any other eye cream basically.
IMG_8024

You get what I mean right? creamy cream cream!

IMG_8025
I may have squeezed out a little bit to much, but I rubbed it on both palms to get a more realistic picture, so you spread it, and it looks like this. I always fear an oily finish when it comes to white creams, but then again, I’m almost always pleasantly surprised when the product soaks in.
IMG_8026

Nicely soaked in, and no trace of oily ughness!

Surely the cream acts a little bit different when applied to the area it’s made for, but you still end up with a nice finish. BUT you guys, we all love ourselves some galactic mice, and this cream is one of those that you can use all over your face! If you want to of course, I would recommend using essences that contain galactomyces instead, but maybe that’s just me, and my fear of too many irritants in the eye cream?

Anyways!
So far so good, I don’t really feel that this eye cream has that much to live up to if I were to compare it to the one I have been using, but as always, I will have a full review up when I’ve put this one to the test, and my sniff senses are back to full speed again, which can be in 3 days or weeks, who knows?

Have you tried this product?
And did you smear it all over your face, and feel like a fabulous galactic mouse?
That would be awesome, who doesn’t want to feel like that?
I’m going to try it and let you guys know!

First Impression; A;T Fox Gyoolpy Tea Gel Cream

img_8012
Cuteness overload.

Hello darlings!

So I posted about this product yesterday, and several others, click here to check that post out!
And I’m never a slowfox when it comes to testing my new arrivals, seeing as my current moisturizer cream is running extremelyyyyy low, and the new one probably won’t get here until next week, I thought, what the heck, Imma smear it all over mah face, get sooome!
(I see now that I’ve been netflixing a little too much lately, so the language is somewhat.. Nuanced. Sorry, not sorry)

So this one I with out a single doubt in the whole entire K-beauty world bought just based on the looks of it, I know, shallow!
But! I have read a good review on it prior to purchasing, but we all know I would’ve bought it no matter the content.

Anyways! Lovely fluffy fact time!

Basically super adorable and I love it! But will I love the content?

If I were to compare it to my other jelly cream I would say that this would not be the winner, but that is only based on a first impression, this might be a sweet surprise or a bitter bread, who knows?
Anyways! Let’s get down to sniffing and feeling!

img_8006
When I first opened it I was like, OMG THIS IS GONNA SMELL LIKE THE BEES KNEES, or just a honey packed cupcake, well, someone shoulda read the description.
I mean, it’s yellow, jelly, in a sweet cupcake that one easily could associate with honey, so I’m not totally wrong, but one look at the text that appears when one scrolls down on the website might give one a clearer picture of what this pastry actually smells like.

That being said, this mofo has high concentrations of Vit C from the Gyoolpy Tea, and we all love ourselves some Vitamin C! It does according to Cosdna have two ingredients that I’m not a particular fan of, them being Butylene Glycol (1) and Triethanol Amine (2). When you have acne-prone sensitive skin you don’t really want to stirr shit up, which these might have a tendency to do, however, I do have a couple of products that work their magic, and these ingredients are indeed listed on these washywash gems I hold close to my heart! So I’m going to be optimistic and say that this cake and I, we’ll be drinking tea and holding hands by the end of the month! Look at that optimism, guys! I really wanna get along with this one, fingers crossed!

Anyway! here’s how it looks and sniffs!:
img_8009
It even looks like honey-jelly-goodness, lordy!
It feels kind of oily when first applied, the complete opposite of the jelly cream I usually use (Etude House Moistfull Collagen Jelly Cream, if you haven’t stalked all my posts yet. <3)
But it get’s better once you start spreading! That didn’t sound wrong what so ever, promises.
img_8010
Then again, now it looks oily, and my biggest fear then is that it might clog every single goddamn pore that has decided to populate my face, which would be just friggin annoying, breaking out because of a pastry? not cool.
img_8011

All soaked in and ready to go! The finish is however a little bit more shiny in real life, not like “a whole day sweating in the sun” shiny, but leaning towards dewy as opposed to the matte finish that I adore, I know, demanding and not afraid to show it!

Smell:
On this one I had to ask for assistance from my very good helper Mr. Boyfriend, seeing as my nose is more clogged than a nightclub toilet after a good old fashioned rave, so what did he have to say about the smell?
Mild but good, fresh with a hint of flowery shit.
I’ll just take his word for it until the full review hits the fan!

So far, I think I like it, I’ve only applied it once, but the clogged pore feeling was almost non-existent, the fear got to me when I put it on, but swooshed away as soon as I’d let it sink in!

That’s it for now, I will be back with a full review once this cream has been baked whipped, and frosted!

Peace&Love
