Vacation-Loot!

Hello Darlings!
How’ve you been?
I’m finally home from vacation, and back on track with some K-beauty goodies!
So, we basically went on a Scandinavia tour, via car, so imagine my skin condition after long drives with the aircondition maxed, lordy, dryer than a dessert!
So I’ve been using a lot of sheet masks, and we’re back to basics!

Anyway!
While walking the streets of Copenhagen I stumbled upon a local Sephora, which we don’t have in Norway, and I know for a fact that they have an overpriced section with some K-beauty goodies, so of course, I bought some stuff!

Firstly the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Special Kit, and I know, the eye stick has been featured on my “Rant of the week” a while back, but I really wanted the gel cream!
And since they only had the set I bought it. Did I mention that it was overpriced? Let’s just leave it at that.
I’ve only tested it twice, because I of course ran out of my beloved Etude House Water Jelly Cream right before we headed home again. And I really like it, I did think that it would resemble the sleeping pack that I love, and I was not wrong! So I’ll post a first impression of it later, promises.
The eye stick on the other hand has to find itself another home, any takers?

I also bought the Panda’s Dream Smudge Out Mascara, it was just standing there next to the registrer, calling my name!
And I love it, but holy balls, it’s one smudgy mess to wash off. We’re talking triple rounds with the current oil cleanser I’m using. Not sure if I should switch to a different oil cleanser or maybe just stop triple layering my mascara. We all know I’m not going to do either, because nothing beats that badass panda eyes look in the evening.

And last but not least, sheet masks!
I’ve heard many great things about Dr.Jart and figured it was about time I got on the hype train, the one I don’t trust but am to curious not to get on sometimes.

I haven’t tried any of them yet, but stuck to the trusted snail hydrogel mask from tony moly, this is one gem I stumbled upon the last time I was abroad and visited Sephora, that goddamn store, draining my wallet one visit at a time.

So yeah, that’s a little update from me, I also received the July Mishibox this week, so I’ll blog about that as well, because the content was awesome!

Have you tried any of these products?
Let me know!

May Empties!

Hello Darlings!

Yet another month has passed, and yet more products have been squeezed to the last drop! So of course I see it fit to write about the empties that are about to hit the bin!

img_8621
I must admit, I haven’t really been good with the sheet masks this month. In a time where there’s been a lot of stress and little time for care, I really should’ve, but hey, there’s always June!
Also, Lately I’ve been very fond of the whole outdoorsy look, mostly because of the good lighting, but I’m also a sucker for the green grass that let’s us all know that summer is here, sort of at least. We live in a very rainy place.

I was expecting more products in this picture, but I have a tendency to become this cheap ass hoe (can I really write that in a blogpost?) whenever a product is coming close to the end, so I don’t splurge anything on my skin, it only gets the bare necessities. Unless I have backups ready to go, then it’s all ’bout them heavy layers.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Water Jelly Cream
So this has actually lasted me a while, a little over 2 months actually, and I’m really pleased with it, but I’m still looking for something better. Not that it’s bad, but my search will continue until this one product appears from the heavens and slaps me in the face with moisture from the k-beauty gods themselves.
And this didn’t do that.
Currently I’m working another Etude House moisturizer into my routine, so maybe that will be better?
And for those who’ve followed us for a while, I’m still afraid of the heavy, white, greasy creams, so I’m still sticking to lovely gelness!

Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum
Looord, I still love this as much as the day we met, and it almost broke my heart when the pump wouldn’t spew out my precious goo. Luckily I’ve got three more just wanting to be spread all over my face. Yes… that sounds so wrong, but oh so right.
And if you haven’t read it, here’s the link to my review on it.
This is still golden in my routine, and I highly praise it, so if you’re looking for a heavenly smelling serum that controls sebum, and isn’t harsh on the skin, which no serum should be really, then try this!
But remember, YMMV, what works for me, might be a disaster for you, so we do recommend checking out a product before purchasing it, use CosDna to see what ingredients it contains, google a little to see what other people think of the product, THEN, throw that mofo in the basket.

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream
No routine is complete without some snail, for me that is.
I love the light feel of this gel, and it’s slowly helping me gain control over my awful scarring that has started to fade after introducing this into my routine.
It also helps to hydrate, and smells fresh.
Did I mention that the packaging is pink?
Love it!

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch
You’ve probably heard about these a thousand times, and they’re worth the attention they get.
For me they’ve been lifesavers after a night out, or when I’ve had too much chocolate, but really, with this tool, how can there ever be too much chocolate?
When in need of a pimple friend for those unwanted visitors, this helps a lot, so it’s probably a good thing that I’ve ordered a couple more.

TonyMoly I’m Real Makegoli Sheet Mask
This was actually a pleasant surprise for me, I’ve been a fan of the I’m REAL masks from tonymoly for a while, but I’ve only gotten around to trying the pomegranate and the avocado, last one being my favourite go to when my skin is crying out for hydration and plumpness. But this one you guys, my skin really digs it! The scent, the feeling on the skin, and the fact that I really didn’t want to take it off at all, says something about how amazeballs it is.
My face felt super fresh and happy after using this, so now I just have to get my hands on a few more.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Silky Creamy Donkeysteam Cream Mask Pack

I got a cramp just from writing the entire name.
First off, it’s weird. The texture is indeed creamy, and first I was like, fuc* no, I’m not putting something creamy on my face, but when it was on, all was well. However it still creeps me out that the mask is soaked in cream, not essence, but this is some good donkey steam if you don’t sniff it too hard. My face really liked the boost of moisture and the scent faded into this pleasant fresh almost flowery scent.

So yes, that’s a little about a lot!

Have you tried any of these products?
Let me know!

Rant of the Week! Or not?

Hello Darlings!
img_8121.jpg
So, Monday usually means Rant of the week, but guess what, I don’t have anything to rant about this week!
Well, if you read on after this, there will be hints of ranting, but not really!
Last week I promised you a full comparison between the long loved Laneige Sleeping Mask and the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack, and today is the day! (or night, you should know I really am an owl that likes to stay up late and sniff my products, but don’t tell anybody, they might think I’m weird or something.)20170416_192659

A sleeping pack that promises to have it all!
This I purchased because it had “amaze” written all over it, both on Reddit, Instagram, and based on what Vicky said about it, it just had to be a Godsend!
When I first used this I had already emptied my first panda, and was in desperate need for a new sleeping pack! Imagine my surprise when after using this I felt it to be exactly the same as the panda, only more pricey.
Texture & Smell:
It’s a cloudy gel with a blue hue, and has a wonderful and fresh smell, the kind of smell you just want to sniff really hard!

This I first bought when seeing it at Sephora in Poland, this was when I was totally fresh to AB and had heard of Tony Moly, of course the fact that it was shaped like a panda was the selling point, but I came to love this, and later ordered a new one from the interwebs!
Texture & Smell:
Fresh and a hint of flowery fruits, gel like, cloudy cream colored gel.

img_8128
Remember that this is indeed a comparison, so there will be side by side pictures.
I had to break out my emergency panda, you guys! That’s how dedicated I am!

As you can see they resemble each other. I dabbed on a little more of the blue hue dew, but you get the idea.
They both spread evenly, but I find the Panda easier and a bit lighter to spread, it’s not really noticeable unless you smear your face half n’ half, which I did, just to make sure that I really felt they where almost alike.
img_8127

To me they look the same, if you look away from the color difference. I’m actually pretty sure that if they were to make a blind test with these two products, people wouldn’t notice any particular difference.

So what separates them?
Obviously price is the huge difference, there’s 16$ actually, if you’re counting.
Ingredients; Both contain the bad guys, Butylene Glycol & Dimethicone, which, is hard to get away from, these are typical ingredients that you will find in a wide range of products, they are marked as acne/irritants, but if you have skin like mine, it won’t give a damn!
What I like about the panda is that it actually has a lot of nice extracts, that (to me at least) doesn’t irritate, but the Laneige has a tendency to “last” longer on the skin and the packaging is more exclusive, but still cheap plastic.
Both act similar on the skin, they soak in nicely and give a good amount of moisture, and none of the above leave residue on the pillow covers, yay them!

img_8129

Of course the skin is shiny at first, but when the skin eats it all up, it leaves a dewy finish. Yum!

So basically, they’re the same, but different. I like them both, but when it comes down to it, I will probably repurchase the panda, I get the desired effect for less than 50% of what the Laneige costs, how can I ignore that?
With that being said, it all comes down to which ingredients you consider your poison to be. We are all different, and prefer different things, my holy grails might even be your holy fails.

So maybe not a full on hate rant, but now you know what I feel about these moist full beings!

Have you tried any of these, and what are your thoughts on them?
Let me know!
